Marketing Project Manager / PM

Position Overview:

  • Full time and permanent
  • Fast moving in terms of variety of work and expectations.
  • Flexible hours (for example: choose to start your day between 6am and 10am, work late some days and shorter on others).
  • 90% internal marketing projects (for multiple product lines), 10% client billable marketing projects
  • Gain valuable career experience in a variety of project types (for example: launching advertising campaigns, website rebuilds, on-set film production, event planning).
  • Gain experience with both small and large projects.
  • Responsible for coordinating the internal team (consisting of graphic designer, marketing data analyst, PR, writers, SEO specialists, social media marketers, video studio staff like cinematographers and video editors, 3D animators, and management), enforcing project budget and timelines, lead meetings, quality auditing of deliverables from all team members, and purchasing.
  • Responsible for reviewing all deliverables to ensure none of the bullet points for the project requirements have been missed.
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent storage of information in our knowledge base, consistent backing up of work.
  • Report status of projects to management and periodically check with the team to ensure no one is stuck with a problem.
  • If you have a specialized skill in a particular department, participate in those parts of the project directly.
  • Welcome to occasionally contribute ideas for new projects, to be reviewed by the marketing board and creative directors.
  • Will get to know our brand over the long-term to produce deep insight "wow" results that continue our brand's fast growth.
  • Example Project: The marketing board determines they want to launch a monthly newsletter and what the main goal and focus will be. You will decide reasonable timelines and the order that team members will get involved. You coordinate with PR to write first articles and brainstorm with them, you find other newsletters we can use to compare quality against, coordinate with graphic designer to do a layout, coordinate with IT and the data analyst so they decide on tracking analytics tools, help data analysts decide on success metrics, quality control to ensure everything is of highest quality and the requirements are being met, present deliverables to management for signoff, coordinate gathering of stats and feedback from readers, and report on the results and ways to improve for the next edition.
  • Does not involve constant time-constrainted projects for clients where the budget does not allow for amazing "wow" results.
  • Does not involve wasteful bureaucracy or wasteful processes.

Requirements:

  • Highly intelligent.
  • Good instinct and critical eye for assessing what is great quality or mediocre quality of all aspects of a project.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Gets deeply involved with challenges and will persevere at length to achieve victory.
  • Takes pride in work.
  • Hard working.
  • No specific requirements for formal education or industry experience. We evaluate each applicant based on merit and potential rather than formalities.
