Positions Available:

• Full time position focused on media relations and communications with media as well as the public.
• Part time positions during office-hours and part time specialist positions (such as publicist stunt expert or event planners) will also be considered.

Position Overview:

• Full time and permanent.
• Flexible hours (for example: choose to start your day between 6am and 10am, work late some days and shorter on others).
• Opportunities to lead media relationship building aspects as well as some promotional writing aspects such as social media.
• Does not involve an endless, boring, stream of responding to incoming letters, time-crunched low quality communications, or communicating the exact same event over and over again.
• Generally, you will get a variety of three types of work, as listed below.
• First (majority of the time) is publicity generation in local as well as national media. This involves finding ways to make initial contact with reporters, maintaining relationships with them, and being a journalist or helping them write compelling articles about us that are worth publishing. This will be 75% or more of your time.
• Secondly, to the extent you want to, marketing focused writing. This involves clearly relaying what a product is about in sales collateral, why a potential customer should buy from us on our website, why its better than the competition, or why an industry should care in the case of press releases. This is estimated to be about 15% of your time.
• Third is miscellaneous communications such as internal and external speech-writing for our executives, writing portfolio case studies, editing high-value email communications, etc. This is estimated to be about 10% of your time.
• Depending on your comfort level, position can optionally involved public speaking, group presentations, publicity stunt planning, and more. We are flexible to your strengths and weaknesses.
• Gain further experience with both small short-term and large long-term endeavours.
• Although some projects simply need to be done in a short timeframe, most will instead be focused on achieving noticeably remarkable quality and significant results.

• Work together with our graphic designers, sale and marketing personnel, and executives.

Requirements:

• Masterful English skills.
• A deep appreciation of the psychology that goes behind convincing publicity and writing.
• Passionate about publicity.
• Can be very convincing and exciting in person and within your writing.
• Get deeply involved with challenges and will persevere at length to achieve victory.
• Takes pride in work.
• No specific requirements for formal education or industry experience. We evaluate each applicant based on merit rather than formalities and we accept that some candidates might be new to a couple of the areas we have mentioned.
